Meet Our Team

Ashlin Applin

As long as I can remember, I have had a heart for working with children, so a career as a child and adolescent therapist was the right choice. Initially, I started in the public school system and soon learned I loved making meaningful connections and relationships with the children in the school setting. The more children I was able to connect with, the more it became clear how much counseling was needed. It was after that realization that I decided to become a counselor in order to establish relationships and use my knowledge to help children and families in the community.

I graduated from the University of Wyoming with a Master of Science in Counseling. My work has involved children and families in both the school and clinical counseling settings for about four years. I particularly have enjoyed the many opportunities I have had to learn and grow through supervision, training, and consultation with colleagues. My theoretical background is Client Centered Play Therapy; however, I am certified in Autplay for children on the Autism Spectrum, and I have additional training in TraumaPlay.

I work primarily with children, adolescents, and families of all ages, races, backgrounds, spiritual beliefs, and sexual orientations. I strive to create a space where anyone can feel welcome, heard, and safe.

I am originally from Wyoming, but I relocated to Tulsa in March 2020. When I am not working, I enjoy cooking, exercising, going on walks with my dog, spending time with family and friends, and traveling as often as possible.
