Ruth Sizemore

LPC, Neurofeedback Provider

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Candidate and a Neurofeedback provider at Connect and Restore. I obtained my Master of Science in Counseling at Northeastern State University. My approach to therapy is from the perspective of being a guide in the journey of healing and restoration of the authentic self. I am also highly committed to collaborating with clients for the purpose of identifying and cultivating each individual’s highest potential.

In order to facilitate a holistic approach towards personal growth, I encompasses spiritual, mental, emotional, and physical dimensions in the therapy session, and I find value in customizing evidence-based processes into step-by-step actions that are specific to the individual needs of the client. One of my great passions is implementing brain-based interventions in a therapeutic setting in order to access and utilize the brain’s natural ability to heal.

I am trained in Rapid Resolution Therapy, a trauma informed modality that focuses on multilevel communication. Additionally, I am pursuing certification in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing). Both RRT and EMDR utilize brain-based interventions such as bilateral processing, guided imagery for relaxation and focus, and other mindfulness-based techniques. Within these contemporary practice modalities, I seek to connect with the essence of the individual in order to facilitate a dynamic space in which the client embraces their highest potential.

I also provide neurofeedback services to children and adults and am pursuing Board Certification in Neurofeedback through Biofeedback Certification International Alliance. I provide QEEG-guided neurofeedback services to a wide range of clients each day as part of my work at Connect and Restore.

As a fellow journeyer on my own path of healing, I have discovered the life-changing impact of leaning into the full spectrum of the human experience and finding the joy and peace held in each moment of this life. I understand that inviting healing into your current experience is a transformational process, and I am honored to have an opportunity to collaborate and walk this path with you.
