I had a deep draw towards helping others feel understood, seen and advocated for from a very young age. I pursued a degree in Child and Family Services from Oklahoma State University that led me to completing a Masters of Science in Counseling Psychology from Southern Nazarene University.
I did not want to limit myself in the world of mental health and desired to experience different settings where I could help support others. I served as a research assistant, conducting research for both the Oklahoma Children’s Hospital and Laureate Institute for Brain Research. I also spent a year training as a Psychological Technician where I helped administer psychological assessments under the mentorship of seasoned psychologists. Most recently, I worked as a therapist in the public school system, providing school-based therapy services for children with trauma, anxiety, ADHD, and conduct disorders.
There are very few things I love more than providing a safe place for families to heal, individually and collectively. My love for attachment, connection and play is what drives me as a therapist and is what helps me understand the power of repair in a broken, unpredictable world. Although my experience has been predominately with children ages 4-17, my desire is to also provide services for perinatal and postpartum mothers in the near future.
When I am not in the office, I am a mom of two (one on the way), and a wife to a Tulsa Fire Fighter. We are always looking for an excuse for a sweet treat and love to be outdoors. As a family, we are committed to loving and serving our community and find so much joy in what we are blessed to do.
