I have been working with children and families for 8+ years in the early childhood/elementary education field as a teacher and school counselor. In 2017, I received my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at the University of Oklahoma and am a state Licensed Professional Counselor and Registered Play Therapist.

I am passionate about providing safe spaces through play to families who have been affected by trauma. I am trained in TBRI (Trust-Based Relational Intervention) as a TBRI Practitioner & TraumaPlay Certified. I believe in empowering children and building a strong foundation of connection that is essential to the therapeutic process. I have also completed EMDR Basic Training and Theraplay Level 1 training. In my clinical work I often utilize a range of therapeutic modalities such as Play Therapy, Gestalt, Adlerian, Filial, Experiential, CCPT, Bibliotherapy, and SandTray all within a Family Systems approach.

When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with my husband, our children, grandchildren and our 4 fur babies! I also love spending time outside, walking the dogs, relaxing, traveling and photography.
